Kids and Scissors

I taught the girls at age 3 to hold scissors with the sharp end pointing down, and always WALK, don’t run. I have not had any problems with them using scissors because of this. I believed teaching them a safe way to handle them would make things a little easier on all of us. I forgot about what they might use the scissors on.

Sure, we’ve gone over it. Scissors are for paper. Apparently, I didn’t emphasize it enough.

I found her in the dollhouse. The explanation given to me was “I just wanted to see what she would look like.” Now we know, Barbie is ugly without hair.

I keep thinking about the neighbor in Toy Story and what he did to all of his toys. I hope that is not next on my destructive childrens’ to-do list.
